Video
My video for my sculpture/ NG final. i installed it in a corner making a “wall” in the corner with the sheet that was used as the backdrop in the video. I then projected the video on both sides of the makeshift wall (in the corner) and played them simultaneously. directly in front of the sheet was a weight stand (like the ones in gyms…) where I placed four 1-gallon plaster milk jugs, four 1/2-gallon plaster milk jugs, and four pint sized gallon plastic milk jugs (all of which were made from molds of actual milk jugs).
My concept was a bit shallow, I thought. I talked about how people drink milk in order to build muscle, but in actuality, some argue that humans weren’t built to digest any sort of animal products…
In all honesty, I wanted something fun and humorous, and I wanted to prove to myself that I don’t need to spend a ton of money to make a cool piece of art.
Overall, I think it was a success! my class and teachers loved it :)
